Painting of industrial halls

Professional painting of industrial halls

Have you noticed that the ceiling, walls and floors on your industrial hall are already heavily worn out? Or are steel construction elements showing the first signs of corrosion damage on themselves? Whatever the source of the problem – at RS-MAL we will be able to help you! We carry out the complete painting of industrial halls, taking into account all surfaces that may require renewal.

We carry out industrial hall painting services (Małopolska and Silesia) according to your preferences. If necessary, we can divide the facility into sectors so as not to hold up all industrial activity for a few days. We tightly secure the site with tarpaulins and use technologies that enable us to carry out this type of work efficiently and relatively quickly.

How do we paint industrial halls at RS-MAL?

To begin with, it is worth pointing out that we only use certified paints with PZH approval (food safety) for painting industrial halls. As a result, we are free to paint walls, floors and ceilings in halls involved in food processing.

To the point. How do we work and what is the process of painting an industrial hall? Our experts work as follows:

  • We carry out a site visit to assess the condition of the industrial hall.
  • We prepare a quotation for the client with a preliminary quote and estimate of the scope of work.
  • Once the offer has been accepted, we proceed with the pre-cleaning of the surface. This is important to remove all dirt. This will ensure that the paint adheres better to the painted surface.
  • We start painting the selected areas with a hydrodynamic spray, roller or brushes in hard-to-reach areas.

We can also make horizontal markings on floors in accordance with industrial health and safety requirements. We also carry out passive fire protection on steel, concrete and wooden structures.

Cleaning and painting industrial halls - how long will it take?

We divide hall painting into 2 groups – interior hall painting and exterior hall painting.

Painting the halls indoors: Among the main treatments to be paid attention to are the painting of escape and communication routes. Proper marking of production halls helps to improve the functioning of the entire company, but also reduces the risk of accidents at work. What is more, the appropriate marking of certain zones and points is a legal requirement in our country.

Painting halls outdoors: Steel halls are prone to corrosion. In order to prevent the hall from rusting, special corrosion protection paints and powder paints are used. An aesthetically painted hall from the outside also has a representative function and serves as the company’s business card. In this case, a hydrodynamic unit is ideal for effective and efficient painting. This technique allows large surfaces to be painted precisely and quickly.

Corrosion protection painting

It is very important that the right weather conditions prevail during corrosion protection painting. Humidity should not exceed 80 %.
Do not apply anti-corrosive preparations outdoors when it is raining or if there is a risk of rain within 3 hours after painting. For the painting of industrial halls, large surfaces and components, the spray painting technique works best. This is a fast coating method in which the paint particles are dispersed by high-pressure air jets in the form of droplets through a nozzle and small holes in it. We use a hydrodynamic unit for this purpose. Spray-painting is a very efficient method, thanks to which a large area of the substrate can be painted in a short time.

Corrosion protection of steel structures C1-C5

Steel structures require protection against corrosion. The environment and its aggressiveness play a major role in the deterioration of steel structures of buildings. The mechanical and thermal influences on a steel component also have a great impact on the corrosion process. Appropriate anti-corrosion systems must be used to prevent this.
There are several corrosion factors. Determining the corrosion class is very important because it determines, among other things, the choice of the appropriate thickness of the coatings that the corrosion protection system will consist of.

There are five corrosion classes:

  • C1 (very low)
  • C2 (low)
  • C3 (medium)
  • C4 (large)
  • C5 (very large/industrial)

The standard also defines the durability range of the painting system, i.e. the life of the system up to the first comprehensive renovation work.

The following system life ranges have been established:

  • Short (L) – up to 7 years
  • Medium (M) – 7 – 15 years
  • Long (H) – 15 to 25 years
  • Very long (VH) – over 25 years

Frequently asked questions

We paint walls, ceilings, floors and steel structures, adapting the technology to the type of surface and the conditions of the site.

Yes, we also carry out work at active sites, using appropriate safeguards such as sealed tarpaulins to minimise the impact on site operations.

We use hydrodynamic spray painting as well as hand painting (roller and brush), especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Yes, every surface is properly prepared. We carry out washing and removal of old coatings, which ensures the durability of the new layers.

We select paints according to the conditions in the hall. We offer paints that are resistant to chemicals, oils, high temperatures and paints with safety approvals, for example for the food industry.

Yes, we offer the painting of horizontal markings, such as safety lines or work zones, according to customer requirements.

Yes, we carry out industry-specific painting, for example using PZH-approved paints in the food industry.

Regular painting of industrial halls prevents corrosion of the structure, improves safety, enhances aesthetics and extends the life of the surface.

Turnaround time depends on the size of the facility, space availability and technical requirements. Each project is individually priced.

Yes, we have a range of eco-friendly and odourless paints that are environmentally and user-friendly.

Yes, we adapt our working hours to the client’s needs, including carrying out work at night or weekends.

The most common problems are corrosion, defects in old paint finishes and damage to wall and ceiling surfaces, which we repair before painting.
